As with other energy sources such as pellets or gas, you can also fully install heat pumps with the alpex system.

Mixing materials, e.g. using a metal system, is not necessary. On the contrary: installers save themselves the trouble of double material storage on the construction site and in the warehouse and also a lot of time during installation, as they do not constantly have to switch between tools.

Application examples for the connection to heat pumps

Heat pumps that are installed outside the building envelope and whose connection pipes are located above ground and heat pumps that are installed inside the building envelope can be connected at the secondary terminals with alpex and alpex L fittings without any restrictions.

For outdoor heat pumps, observe the following in particular:

UV protection of pipes, fittings and insulation
Thermal insulation 200 % outside the building envelope
Frost protection of the heat transfer medium (Observe manufacturer’s instructions!)
Select suitable pipes if the connection pipes are installed underground

For indoor heat pumps, observe the following in particular:

Thermal insulation of the secondary circuit according to the relevant national standards
Cold insulation of the primary circuit
Frost protection of the heat transfer medium in the primary circuit (Observe manufacturer’s instructions!)

Connection options with alpex and alpex L

You can take advantage of the comprehensive range of alpex and alpex L products without restriction for connection to the various types of heat pumps. The ingenious design of the alpex fittings and comprehensive selection in dimensions 16-32 mm ensure highest flexibility in terms of processing options. The alpex L system is available for dimensions 40-75 mm. Regardless of whether it is about installing long pipe sections or riser pipes in residential buildings – alpex L perfectly matches the requirements for large pipe dimensions.

The alpex system is extremely durable and impresses with its high load capacity and hygienic safety. All flowoptimised pipes and fittings can be installed in a space-saving manner, are easy to insulate and resistant to hot water of up to 95 °C* at a permanent pressure of 10 bar.
